Worthing United Youth FC raised more than £10,000 for Sussex children’s hospice on July 1 &2, 2023
Many thanks to everyone who took part in this year’s Charity BedPush – It looks like we will raise just over £10,000 for Chestnut Tree House Hospice.
Sadly this was below our target of £15k but still an incredible effort to raise a five-figure sum for this very worthy cause.
It was great to see so many of our young footballers raising money by pushing a bed up and down Worthing seafront.
Club Chairman Jason Nicholls said, “Chestnut Tree House is such a worthy cause. We want to give something back to our local community and there isn’t a better fundraising charity than this.
“We’d like to thank everyone including our commercial sponsors who donated to this event.”

Worthing United Youth FC raised a total of £14,000 following a special fundraising event to push a Chestnut Tree Hospice bed along the Worthing seafront during the weekend of July 2nd-3rd, 2022.
The club has chosen this Sunday – World Cup Final Day – as the day we pay for Chestnut Tree House to remain open.
Chairman Jason Nicholls said, “Chestnut Tree House offered us the chance to pick any date when our money would pay for the facilities to remain open. We thought World Cup Final day would be a winner.
“Our members did an incredible job this summer raising £13,000 for this very worthy cause. We’re looking to raise even more next summer.”
