New Role – Admin Support for large youth football club in Worthing
Worthing United Youth FC is looking for an Admin Support person to help run one of the largest youth football clubs in Sussex..
This role offers you the chance to make a real difference within a large junior football club which benefits players, coaches, parents and club officials.
This is a part-time two-day-a-week contracted role based on an agreed hourly rate.

Locations
This role will mostly be working from home (laptop computer will be provided)
You will occasionally need to attend training, matches & events at Rotary & Hill Barn recreation grounds
Days/Hours
Final number of hours to be agreed depending on workload and experience
Currently we are budgeting for up to 14 hours per week to be required. The hours may fluctuate depending on events that take place during the football season, some weekend work might be required.
This will be a seasonal position running from September to end of April each year.
The club reserves the right to reduce/increase hours as required.
There will be some flexibility expected between the club and successful candidate. The club is run by volunteers who have full-time jobs and so communication is often required outside office hours.
Pay
Hourly rate – This will be in the range of £17-20 per hour – subject to experience and qualifications
Requirements
- Experience in working in an administrative role
- Ability to multi-task – running multiple projects in parallel
- Communicate with local leagues, Sussex FA, local council and other bodies
- Personality to engage with managers, coaches, players and parents
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Understanding of popular computer software including budgets & spreadsheets
Duties
- Provide admin support for one of largest youth football clubs in region
- Support all club officials (Chairman, Secretary, committee, coaches, etc)
- Represent Worthing United Youth FC to all relevance local organisations
- Help guide the club through a period of change as we develop new clubhouse
- Some responsibility for handling money & dealing with young people
Please note
The successful candidate will be paid on a freelance basis. They will submit timesheets each month and will be responsible for all personal taxation & National Insurance payments.
You will be supplied with a laptop (if required). However the club will not supply any additional benefits (eg mobile phone or home wifi). The role will be reviewed annually in May prior to the new football season starting every September.
